Login Issues: Clear Cache & Cookies on iPhone

In the steps that follow, you will learn how to clear history, cookies and cache from Safari on your iPhone.  If using a newer version of iOS, please scroll down to see additional instructions and links. 

 

1)  Tap on Settings

2)  Scroll down and tap on Safari

3)  Scroll down to see options – Clear History, Clear Cookies and Clear Cache

4)  Tap on each of these options, one by one, to clear all of them.  (NOTE:  if you do not want to delete all of your private data, you can go to Advanced Settings and delete cache and cookies for a particular website)

5)  Press the Home button to return to the main screen

6)  That's it!  All the cookies and cache from your browser has now been deleted. It not only removes harmful files but also makes the browsing faster.

NOTE:  "Accept Cookies" must be enabled on your phone.

 

If using a newer version of iOS, please use the following instructions:

 

1)  Tap on Settings icon

2)  Scroll down and tap on Safari

3) Scroll down towards the bottom to the Privacy section and select the button labeled Clear History (this deletes cache and cookies for all sites you've visited).  If prompted, confirm Clear History.    (NOTE:  if you do not want to delete all of your private data, you can go to Advanced Settings and delete cache and cookies for a particular website).

4)  Press the Home button to return to the main screen

5)  That's it!  All the cookies and cache from your browser has now been deleted. It not only removes harmful files but also makes the browsing faster.
